Traditions don’t just stay still - they grow, glow, and evolve. At Women’s Christian College, there is a tradition that continues to bring the entire campus alive with excitement - “Campus Days”. These special days are not just about fun, they are a cherished part of student life that foster unity, creativity and belonging. Held once or twice a month, Campus Days offer students a chance to come together, celebrate their shared traditions and strengthen their bonds.

Over time, what began as simple moments of joy have now grown into a colourful tradition that lights up the campus with fun, laughter and lasting memories. It all started with one small idea to make college days more fun and creative. At first, there were just a few themed days for everyone to enjoy. But slowly, this idea grew into something special. Year after year, more creative themes emerged, adding new layers to this evolving legacy.

The evolution from basic dress codes to vibrant, imaginative themes has brought a new energy to Campus Days. Each event offers students a platform to express themselves, celebrate diversity, and connect with one another in meaningful and memorable ways.

Here are some of the themes that define WCC’s Campus Days:

🥻Saree Day: A day of timeless elegance, where students celebrate tradition by draping themselves in graceful sarees. The campus blooms with colour, culture, and charm.

🎵International Music Day: A day where fashion meets rhythm! Students dress up to represent their favourite music genres - from rock, jazz, and pop to classical and folk.

🎒🚫No Bag Day: A beloved WCC tradition, the day invites students to leave their backpacks behind and carry their essentials in creative alternatives - clutches, baskets, pots, or even pillow covers! It's a celebration of fun and creativity, recently revived by the Student Senate.

Campus Days are more than just dressing up. On each Campus Day, departments are judged based on student participation, coordination, and overall department performance. The department that aligns more with the theme earns more points.

These points are added directly to the final scoreboard of Mt. Holyoke Fest, WCC’s grand interdepartmental competition, where each department showcases its talents, creativity, and unity. Ultimately, the department with the highest points is awarded the prestigious Overall Trophy.

Each Campus Day reflects not only the creativity of students but also their deep connection to one another. This traditional legacy continues to grow and stands as a reminder that the heart of WCC is not just in its academics but also in the spirit of celebration, unity, and the joy of shared experiences.
