Chennai, 24 July 2025: In a heartwarming celebration of language and culture, our college recently hosted a special event that paid tribute to the timeless beauty of the Tamil language. The Guest Speech Programme, under the theme Tamil language and its Cultural Significance, brought together students, educators, and special guests for an inspiring and memorable morning.

🎵 The event opened with a vibrant welcome song and a heartfelt traditional greeting by the students. Their performance instantly set the tone, filling the room with a sense of pride and cultural belonging.

🎤 Headmistress Jansi Priya then took the stage to deliver a warm and gracious welcome address, extending heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, participants, and students.

📚 One of the standout moments was a special student presentation, which beautifully showcased the contributions of Tamil scholars and the lasting legacy of Tamil heritage. This segment, guided by Deputy Headmistress Elizabeth, was both educational and deeply moving.

🎊The heart of the program: The guest speech session—was a true celebration of knowledge and inspiration. Before the speeches, The Faculty of Tamil Department gave an introduction of the special guests, setting the stage for the thought-provoking talks that

followed.

📖 The Guest of Honour, Mr S Arulsamy, delivered an engaging speech that emphasised the importance of nurturing our mother tongue and encouraging the younger generation to embrace its richness.

🕯️ Following this, the Chief Guest, Ms Uma Devi Azhagiri, took the spotlight and delivered a powerful speech on the depth, beauty, and emotional strength of the Tamil language. Her words left a lasting impact on everyone present.

🎶 The event also included a graceful cultural performance, where students expressed Tamil identity through music, movement, and vibrant expression.

💜 As the event neared its end, Prof Mahalakshmi from the Department of Tamil offered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of every individual who made the program a success.

👏 The programme concluded with a soul-stirring choir performance of the Alma Mater.
